The Angel of the North

The Angel of the North is a public art sculpture in Gateshead, UK that symbolises hope, renewal, and protection.

It also represents the transition from the industrial to the information age and the sacrifice of the coal miners who worked beneath the site.

The Angel of the North can be seen from main road travelling up to Scotland.
